ticking noise every 5seconds

I have a RRS 2010 with 73K miles on the clock.

I noticed a faint ticking sound with a 5 second interval, between ticks, coming from behind the drivers side of the dash...anyone experienced this before?

Ive got it booked in next Tuesday for a full service with a specialist but this to worry about?

On a different car we used to have I had a similar noise which I put down to 1/10th mile odometer increments. Can't comment for a 2010 RRS.

EDIT - actually they would more likely have been 1/100th of a mile ??
