Is it possible to reverse the adaptive cruise default?

Hi all, I've had a RRS for about three months now and I can honestly say its the best car I've ever owned. I absolutely love it. I have a 2010 facelift 3.6 v8 diesel, and have just a couple of small annoyances- the door mirrors dipping in reverse is something I don't need- is there any way to disable it? Also I love the adaptive cruise, but I wish the default distance to the car in front was set at the shortest length, not the longest- is there any way to change it?

You can adjust the ACC with the steering wheel controls, and switch mirrors dipping in reverse off in the menu settings if I remember correctly.

Thanks Col, yep I know I can adjust it to the shortest distance, but I'm having to do it every time I set the cruise. It's a real pain.

Have to admit I hate the ACC and never use it, didn't realise it defaulted back to furthest distance each time it switched off.

I'll check the menus for the dipping door mirror options, thanks!

For mirrors, put it in reverse and then set the mirrors to where you want them for normal driving. That way they stay where you want them and they won’t change. 2012 5.0 SC AB

When I used adaptive cruise - which I think is fab - I found the shortest distance was akin to automated tailgating. Why would you want to sit so close to the rear of another vehicle? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Personally found it easiest just to switch mirrors off in set-up menu, few presses of the button. What I did was set them where I wanted them in reverse if I needed them, then just turned them off so can reactivate them by using menu if needed, without having to re-adjust them.

^^^^ Exactly

I always adjust mine to furthest distance, mine defaults to one of the middle distances. If I had somebody tailgating me as close as the shortest setting I'd be slamming my brakes on to tell them to back off! 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

Mine is supposed to have adaptive cruise control, but so far I haven't found it in any of the setting.
Would someone be kind enough to point me to where abouts in the various setting I might find it?
Or can I enable it using IID?

Do you have the switch on the L/H the side of the steering wheel with the arrow markings on it, if not you haven't got it.

Well my shortest distance is about three car lengths in front. The problem I have is that at the default maximum length I fall further and further behind the car in front as each driver pulls out in front, causing me to drop further back. Then another pulls out and so on...

Ok, I’ve adjusted the mirrors in reverse to match those settings going forward, so thanks for that little tip. One other small niggle- the sat nav voice volume is set to ‘ears bleed’ level- is there any way to turn it down rather than manually at every instruction?
