Anyone know the differences as I’ve seen a nice 4.4 when I had my heart set on a 4.2 2006 RRS Supercharged 4.2 HST muthuaflecka!

Someone listed the differences I one of your threads I think.

But just get a 4.2. Unlikely to regret it!

For a start a extra 90bhp and 125Nm of torque with the 4.2 S/C.

Fuel consumption of the 4.4V8 is not significantly better than the Supercharged engine’s so not a lot of point in the 4.4 over the 4.2. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Not convinced the mpg gap is as narrow as some suggest 17 vs 19 on paper but quite a few 4.2 SC owners report less than 17 average.

4.2 SC in good form is arguably the more dedicated drivers car though.

Drive a couple of each ideally.....I suspect 4.2 SC will warm the heart more than head..

I seldom want more power than my 4.4 but I regard it as adequate rather than brisk. Occasionally I want more HP. The 4.2Sc can also benefit from modified pulley upgrade.

4.2Sc gets the adaptive/active suspension so better in the bends than 4.4 if all working correctly. It also has better brakes.

Daily driver with slightly better mpg and slightly simpler suspension....get a 4.4.

If it was a weekend car or for more occasional use.... 4.2 SC
