yesterday on a 7 yr old 3.0 rear brake lines corroded, luckily covered under the MOT insurance which is part of the 2 yr warranty, still feels like a kick in the nuts though |

New emissions law comes in in may,,the tester hasn't had their machine updated & done them to the new readings has he/she,,,,,what as it actually failed on because no 3 year old car should really fail on emissions especially petrols.

Presumably, you presented your car for test before it's 3yr aniversary, that is to say it is still under the manufacturers warranty. I would suggest it's failed because of a component that has failed, so take it back to JLR and tell them to fix it under warranty. Unless, as has been suggested, the tester has cocked it up. |

So, it passed on the second test after a kind JLR technician took it for a 'drive' up the motorway to ... clear its throat.

Or wanted an excuse to take the car out for a burn. Just checked my remote app and they achieved a cool 15mpg on a motorway trip... SVR with a few bits from Urban and Glohh |
