It is normal for the alternator to churn out higher voltage after starting and then regulate down after a while.

The battery is showing 12.6v before starting.

Mine shows around 15v with the engine running which I thought was high but a couple of the experts on here said its perfectly normal. |

15 is quite normal get a volt meter across the terminals your battery might need a good charge depends how long it was on the shelf |
