On a recent trip travelling 120 Kph when possible I achieved 8.3/100 via the display which is a little optimistic. Real world around 9/100. I am well pleased with the SVD's economy. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |

Yikes, 4.9mpg and the engine isn't even running! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

The early 5.0SC had some nose bearing issues as well as timing chain guides wearing. I believe these were resolved by late 2010. The issues were almost always the result of very hard driving |

Oh that is dead easy - FFRR with 3.6 TDv8 or TD6 engine didn’t have Dynamic Response handling or such good braking in my experience ( I had a 3.6 TDv8 FFRR Vogue after a TDv8 RRS - RRS had the trick handling and Brembos, FFRR didn’t unless you went to the S/C or later 4.4 SDv8). The fitting and trim in the FFRR are very very nice even in lower spec cars But they roll worse than an ocean liner in a storm when you want to drive it around bendy bits of road, otherwise it is a supreme cruiser and as good offroad. If you can find an L322 Vogue SE 4.4SDv8 in your budget it would be a magic car with decent economy and limo ride but also great handling. The last L322’s were 2012MY and badged as the Westminster Edition when they were replaced with the current L405 which was also light enough to get the same V6 diesel (in a lower power output 292bhp rather than 309of the HSE Dynamic RRS) - What Car? Mag rates the 3.0TDv6 VogueSE as the L405 to have. If you enjoy a “blast” on twisty roads the RRS is the car to have unless you can get the S/C FFRR which had the Brembos and trick handling as standard. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
