So after spending today putting on my winch tray and prepping the front bumper I decided to offer up the winch guard only to find it doesn't fit! Part of the bumper is in the way.

The Land Rover winch instructions on topix show a face lift car with winch fitted, so there must be a winch guard that fits a facelift bumper

Anyone know if there are 2 different part numbers for pre and facelift cars?

Not looking good at the minute Buddy, can find the winch kit VPLSP0099, can find guard for D3, couple for the D4 and the one you have for the G4 Sport, but absolutely no mention of one for facelift RRS1. Will have another search tomorrow to see if can find anything.

Thanks Col, i find it weird that topix shows the winch on a facelift but then they dont make a guard to suit! Was going to try a D4 winch guard monday and also ask Dan at Duckworth to see if he has come across this before.

If not i will have to try Mantec or Machine my Original Mantec Guard to suit the winch tray!

No help I'm afraid Mate, although they do the winch kit for the facelift they don't appear to do a winch guard, as they had stopped doing the G4 challenge by the time they introduced the facelift obviously they didn't do a G4 version, just wondering if they never bothered with the guard due to production costs etc. and probably a very limited market for it. Just a thought. maybe Dan might have more luck though.

Just as I feared Thank you for your research mate. I will try the Disco 4 winch guard on there tomorrow morning. Will give Dan a call and also see what Mantec say as they made the original LR G4 guards. Maybe they have a prototype facelift guard sat in the workshop
