lets hope it doesnt come back to you with other issues caused by the stealer. Mine went in for brake pads and came out with a badly resprayed door (they damaged it in their workshop). Ive covered that story in an earlier thread.

Well after 22 hours without a car I finally have a courtesy car, the wagon that brought it had broken down en route to me and that meant I could not get to work as I live in the sticks.

It was delivery with seagull sh*t all over it with no fuel and very dirty inside and with only 123 miles on the clock. Ive hovered it and washed it now and will put some fuel in it tomorrow.

Well the only update I had was it was too wet to take to car out to listen for the noise, it had been up on the ramps and found nothing so far.

From your last description of the noise I can't believe this is a tank slap issue. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

I asked them to check for a recall on the tank, that's why they looked at that, as they said it was too wet to take the car out and listen for noises. Finally got the car back today.

The tank has foam baffles in it now, which was a recall and took over 5 hours.

They think the knock was related to the fuel slap.

As for the grumbling noise it was traced to a stone that had somehow got in the heat shield / exhaust area in the engine bay.

Had a long drive back the scenic way (2hours) and no noise now, just have to wait to the fuel gets down now to check that is cured. RRS in chilli red 2014 HSE with a few options, also general grabber AT3 tyres as it does go off road and gets dirty

I'm glad I came across this thread as I'm also getting the knocking noise,,Ive had it on a ramp & cannot find anything so it could be the fuel slap.ill contact dealer & get it booked in as it's still under warranty.
