United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White
Managed 28.6 mpg

Well Ive just filled up with fuel & got my best mpg upto now on the fuelly app. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up I don't know how people get 30's plus,,they must be driving 300miles at a constant 50mph on the motorway. Also Ive just filled up at local Esso garage as my last 7 fill ups have been at Tesco so let's see if it really is more economical using branded fuel,,I'll try it over next 7 fill ups.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

You cannot be trying very hard as I don't drive like a granny but neither am I a boy racer (well, not often!) and I often see the dash frip figure over 40mpg but that usually translates to a Fuelly (and all my fuel is registered there) figure around 33mpg.
If you click on the Land Rover Range Rover Sport link on the top of your Fuelly page you can see what others with the same model year as yours are getting - it is interesting to see how little difference there is between the V6 S/C and the SDv6 according to what people put into Fuelly. My user name on there is XFullFatTim and I have records for 4 cars I have run on there. 2x Evoques (one 6 speed auto, one 9 speed auto), current RRS and my Defender. My worst was a drive from London to Stirling at in excess of the speed limit for most of the trip when I got about 28mpg, I have one mystery one for the RRS of 62mpg which I can only put down to keying in something incorrectly - I log every tank refill in Fuelly too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

28.6 is about the best I get although the computer will tell me 30. If I just drive it without caring I get about 26.
What is the best action to take if we think the fuel consumption is a little high? Re-map? -----------------------------------------------

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

2005 TDV6 remapped.

31.6 mpg on a long run, 28.7 mpg overall. I tend to cruise at 65-70mph on A roads/motorways,
its so much more relaxing and only adds a few minutes to overall journey time. I live near the M25
so there is not much point in rushing, you always end up in a jam.

Ever since having classic cars, I have got into the habit of spreadsheeting all my fillups so that I could show prospective buyers etc etc. Best with this car is 30.08 with overall average of 27.56 after 185 gallons.

Shocked

It's threads like this remind me why I no longer drive one of these Laughing

Hopefully the RRS PHEV due next year will give some better figures but then again knowing LR the price will undo any savings on fuel and let's not forget the good old LR customer testing programme Wink Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Andy I think the SVR looks the dogs wotsits but I can't get past the price, the members here who have been poorly treated after buying them and the amount of traffic/speed cameras nowadays Sad

I will still be very jealous though Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Well Muddy I don't worry about fuel consumption, I only drive short distances mostly in the city. Petrol is cheap here (about 80p per litre) and I spend about 25 quid a week on fuel so no big deal. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6
