With remote reading dipsticks these days it is difficult to see if the service agents even bother to change the oil......... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My only issue is, without clearing the faults and checking afterwards (say followed by a road test), would they really know if those are just harmless spurious faults as a result of a software update (for example) or a new problem they have created? Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

No road test, no verification of whether the repair is successful ... just call the customer and get them to collect the car as soon as the bolts are tightened

Info back from the Main dealer. To try to cover this new problem we have to notify the information to extended warranty Company before the end of Contract term. Normally we have to send: a copy of service book, a copy of our order repair, a quotation. With the information in their hands they answer us if it´s necessary to send an expert or directly they can authorize the repair. So the 2 years Approved Warranty is maybe only 50 weeks. This allows 2 weeks to identify the fault, book the car into the dealer, let them do their bit (as stated above) So in my case tuff luck As for reading stored faults, why would they bother, even though they have to connect the car up via diagnostic port in order to reset the service indicator. Maybe this why Land Rover Service charges are so low In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

I didn't say just clear the faults and return the car. I meant clear and check if faults come back. Makes sense to me.
