It actually might be, I priced up a new skid plate for the fiesta rally car, the correct grade ally in a big sheet came to about £350 just for the material, then there was the hassle of getting it cut and pressed to the correct shape, at which point buying one from m-sport for £800 seemed reasonable.

2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Except the Disco one was cheaper and in the Disco market there are lots of plates for half that price. I guess the fact that they sell/sold so few RRS versions doesn't help. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
