Hi guys, you'll be surprised to know they will get better the more they loosen up. Mine at the time was on about 3000 miles and I checked indicated on a run home back to Wales from Edinburgh on a Sunday. The motorways were quite busy but still managed an indicated 29.2 / 29.4 mpg, which I think is very good Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

So allowing for LR's computer margin of error that is about 23-25mpg in real life? Still pretty good if you are also having the odd blast on the journey. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hi Tim, yes I agree, and obviously around 'town' it's not the best but I do give it a kick in the plums now and again. I don't think it makes me a bad person Laughing Whistle Thumbs Up

The last tank of fuel I averaged 17.8 mpg (which included two 150 mile trips) whereas InControl gives 21.5 mpg.

Many RRS1 TDv8 owners would be jealous of those numbers Lyonhead................ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hi Tim, I know, I was really surprised as well but to be honest I drive a bit like a fanny and only give it the beans now and again but I have found the quicker you go, i.e. Between 65-75/80 the better MPG it seems to give?? I can't work that out?!?!?!
But around town driving its down in the teens then Whistle

My SL500 gives its best mileage at those sorts of speeds, and beats my wife's diesel Evoque easily for fuel consumption at any speed above 60 mph.

In 1996 I had a V8i ES Disco1 and it was the same - I put it down to high steady speed on cruise control at motorway speeds rather than lots of shifting down and up the gearbox. In those days I owned Land Rovers that could match or better the Govt Official combined consumption (LR hadn't then discovered how to fake the results with masking tape over door and bonnet openings, removing wipers, lowering suspension etc). Even with 4 up, 4 windsurfers on the roof and 4 bikes on a bike rack out the back I could achieve more than 23mpg at 65-70 in that car and it only had a 4 speed auto too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Laughing Laughing

They're pretty impressive figures I'd say, even given the LR margin for error! Question, my handbook/manual is a blue generic wallet and handbook, nothing SVR specific in there whatsoever, I assume that's how it is? Don't get me wrong I didn't expect some gold plated keyrings but I thought they may have been a bit more inventive, with the remote too but hey ho!
