United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Sumatra Black

Make sure the car has a decent coverage of glaze. Sprinkle with filtered water (or if you have an air con, its drain water) which runs off. Go for a quick run around the block, and use a dryer to remove any water lingering in corners. Job's a good 'n, and not touched the paint with any towels or (heaven forbid) chamois leather!

Don't use a chamois, especially if you are going tomspend money on the paintwork.

At the very least buy a microfibre drying towel or three, better still rinse paint after with puriefied water from a DI vessel (£70) and let it drip dry. Thumbs Up Gone:

You have great taste! I always wondered what my vehicle would look like with black letters and now I know. Now only if I could get my hands on some Euro markers. Cool

Stupid question alert Embarassed

I was reading the manual and noticed there is two stage locking from the fob. I've stupidly only been pressing it once thinking it locked everything and set the alarm, as indicated by the InControl app. But, when I press the lock button again shortly after pressing it a first time (as instructed in the manual), it sounds like further locks go across, and then a beep from the alarm(?) sounds.

So am I assuming the following:

One press = locked doors, alarmed
Two presses = locked doors, deadlocked doors, alarmed

Or is it something else more complex? SOLD - MY16 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic - Fire Engine Red, Fixed contrast pan roof, TV, Dual Screen, 5+2, Privacy, Noble paddles.

your right but one press won't activate the internal movement detector thingy,i.e. If you had dog in car and wanted to lock it ., and also deadlocks will not be activated

2nd press everything armed and deadlocks activated Thumbs Up Currently MY16 Disco 4 Mr. Green

Also if you have windows or the sunroof open and you hold down the first press for more than 3 seconds all of the openings will close. It's called "global closing". You can also globally open if the car is very hot inside and you don't have the park climate system. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My understanding is that if you only "lock" it once, then the doors can be opened from the inside. Ideal if there is a small child is inside but not great if a crim breaks a window and then takes stuff out through a door ...

You would also have to make sure that the locks at the back were not set to "Child-proof" setting too to allow a child to escape from the back............ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
