I have just spoken to a well known independat who have told me it is not possible to blank the egr valve on a 2008+ 2.7 desiel rr sport and it's only possible on a 2006-2007. Is that true as i am reading otherwise online?[/s]
As I understand it, you can blank off the EGRs on later models (Euro 4 I think) but the EML will light up which is an MOT fail. You would need to get one of the tuners to programme your ECU to switch off the EML.
I have just had a gearbox flush and remap at JGS 4x4 based near Kettering. The guy who did all the work (in front of me) was very knowledgeable and helpful, I'm sure he will give good advice.

Alonso, yes it's possible to blank them and cheaper in the long run. Needs a software update to stop the EML coming on.
