This is the reason I would never buy one without the LR approved warranty.Im on my 5th sport plus a few FFRR & it hasn't cost me a penny in all the time ive had them, ive not had many problems with them but when I have they have been put right with the waaranty,I haven't even put a set of brake pads on one yet,,as soon as they are out of warranty I trade them in.

I've had 2 previous RRS's over 5 years ago, these had LR warranty (1 being a new HST), both had issues which LR could not resolve which was really disappointing as the HST was a lovely car. I change my cars every 12 months usually and have had more issues with one RRS than I have had with all the cars I've had in the last 10 years.
They're lovely when they work but I cant enjoy a car that sits for 9 months of the year then breaks when I pop out to get some milk. I had a new shape Landcruiser V8 for the last couple of years at work, spent 50% of its time offroad getting hammering, all its needed is brakes, tyres and servicing, this is what I'll be going to if I feel the need for a 4x4 again
