Thanks! I literally just had the car serviced (oil change + all filters etc) - is this a part that would have been removed as part of that work? It seems a bit of a coincidence it's come away on the first drive above 30 mph since the work...Am I OK to drive until I source a replacement? And finally, is it something I can reasonably replace myself? |

I would suggest you Return to garage where service was carried out. John

So, the car was returned to the garage where the service took place (RR London) and they were extremely apologetic. They replaced the part free of charge and rechecked all other areas they had worked on.

Thanks John, they were great (the service centre). I'm on a forum for my car (the RRS is my wife's car) and the help and support is invaluable, both here and there. Keep it up everyone, sharing knowledge and camadarie is what it's all about. Thanks to all who replied! |

I'm more impressed that a dealer actually did some service work, I've never trusted them since my Freeelander was never actually serviced in the three years it went to them 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater |

We bought a Freelander that came with three years free servicing, I never bothered checking it on its return from being serviced as she did less that 5000 miles, however after year two servicing the front window began misting up, so we took it back. I played dumb and told them it was my wifes car, which it was, and I was just doing as i was asked by bringing it in to be looked at.
