Advice needed - Buying used RR Sport with high mileage
I am thinking of buying a used 2013 (62 Reg) RR Sport Black edition with good specs and a mileage of 70k. The price quoted is £30k. I have couple of queries in mind before I can buy this car and hoping to get some advise here.

1. High Mileage - The vehicle has full service history and a fleet vehicle. Is the high mileage a reason to be worried ?
2. The car is sold by a used car dealer , however with a RAC 3 months warranty and has undergone the RAC checks. Is this a good deal to go ahead ?

Any other things I need to consider before buying this car ? Appreciate any inputs that will help in my decision.

High mileage in its self is not an issue especially with a full service history, however as with all things the higher mileage, the more worn a number of components will be especially if not replaced.

A 3month warranty isn't worth much at all,mthese are big heavy cars,many some components are of course likely to fail over years of ownership, warranty direct is popular on here, I would be looking for a 12 month warranty if you can, but if it really isn't comprehensive then you may be better getting your own and factoring that cost in.

I suspect the vehicle may not have had a mega flush worth searching that on here,mass that is likely to be a good thing to do.

I would not go near it without a landrover warranty with it .

R444SPT - Thanks. On the mega flush , I seem to see some post mentioning 75k mileage as optimistic for mega flush and the ideal one would be 100k .

I will check warranty direct or probably warranty with Land rover. Which leads to 362bkr's comment about land rover warranty. Would land rover dealer provide warranty to a used car not purchased from them ?

I have a 2012/62 red edition in Fuji with only 33500 full LR history was serviced 3 weeks ago & comes with remainder of LR approved warranty till July next year & the next service is free of charge & the car is in immaculate cond.The car has 22" alloys with 4x pirelli tyres all with about 6mm of tread & it also has the original alloys unmarked with 4x new winter tyres.i will take 33k for it.

Yes you could get a land rover warranty on it but land rover would need to examine it first and i think it would only cover you to 100k .

LR would have mine up for 37k & your still getting LR warranty & a extra set of alloys worth 1k.so you'd save 4-5k.Hatfields have just offered me 31k in px for a new stealth edition & I get to keep the 22's which cost £1200 for the alloys & the tyres would cost £150 each.you only haven't to look on LR sites & white RRS are still doing strong money with mileage same as mine.Hatfields have same spec as mine same mileage but without the colour coded sills for 36k.
