We pulled over at the first fuel stop after the tunnel, plugged the IID in and I Bluetooth to an iPad. Scanned and cleared the codes that i can only think was the tunnel bouncing us around in access mode that caused it and all was well!

GAP Diagnostics transferred my IIDTool BT from L320 to L494 for free. Transfer to a new owner however is chargeable (25 IIRC which is very reasonable). While I find it doesn't do as much for L494 (yet) as it used to do for L320, it is still a great piece of kit. In addition to what others have said, the aftersales support from GAP is brilliant. Last week I disabled the auto wiper function, for example. This means I now have a proper intermittent wiper control that I can set as I wish. I hate auto wipers so it has been a pleasure getting rid of them. Simple adjustment in the CCF and off you go.

The standard IID is great, but the BT makes it so much easier to use and the ability to view multiple live values together, and graph them, and to save/email fault codes at the press of the button is well worth having. I quickly managed to turn on/off things that weren't done by default, which I think should have been. I've not heard a bad word about them on here, you can for a small fee alter the registration to cover a new car in the future which is always good to know, you get free updates, and other things are in pipeline for tuning etc I believe.
