I know you've said you had all pulleys checked, but my thinking here is possible alternator bearing or internals. Reason I say that is normally the rev counter feed is taken off the alternator. If the alternator is rough and the tacho dance coincides with the noise, then it's a possible. |

Thats fair enough, I wasn't aware the RRS took the feed from there. A lot of vehicles use a feed from the alternator, certain models of LR included |
