EPB - Pulled the release, indie reckons its toast

As subject states, the EPB locked and the only solution was to pull the emergency release. My indie reckons this always means you need a new EPB unit (plus 2 days labour to fit). Big Cry

Does this sound true?

Don't seem to be having much luck with this car of mine. TDV6 2010 HSE

Had mine done at Landrover Services in Preston. full replacement done in a day.

Try 'Flack'. He's on here if you have a search.
He's an independant mobile Discovery & RRS specialist based near Preston & is very good. Does all sorts of software stuff too. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.

I have replaced 2 modules since I wrote that thread.

One had the cables cut
The other damaged internally when the owner tried to unjam it himself

Bad news Big Cry
EPB needs replacing. Flack came down to service the car so the trip wasn't totally wasted. Not disappointed with his work though, the car is running very well now! TDV6 2010 HSE
