Hi new to this forum and could do with some help on wheels. I have a new RRS coming in a week and don't like the 20 inch wheels that are on the car - it is a showroom vehicle and not spec'd by me. I have been advised that if I buy take off wheels that are genuine and have only cover 10 miles that it may invalidate the warranty for the breaks, steering, suspension etc. My only options are therefore to buy new from the dealer 21/22 inch - hugely expensive, powder coat black the 20 inch ones as they are not to my taste - 520 or buy take off ones but concerned about invalidating the warranty. My question is - if the take off wheels are genuine with the laser serial numbers and are professionally fitted - would this invalidate the LR warranty?[/quote]

I can not be certain but provided they are Genuine L/R and a Size that is a Factory Option for that particular model I see no reason why they would invalidate the warranty.

Being somewhat Cynical I think the Dealer is Trying to get you to pay them anything around 4.5k for a set of genuine wheel you could get for 2k.

Plenty of genuine LR wheels on EBay being sold on sets of 4/5. Buy a set of these and sell your old ones and you will probably be looking at spending well under the price quoted by the dealer.

Hi, Jim yes it is the l494. The wheels will be genuine LR. I have done this with my defender previously and had no issues with warranty work but as this is a lease car I am having to provide proof of warranty etc and most sellers on eBay don't provide this.
