RRS Recall - Doors not Latching

I received a recall notice from LR today concerning a problem where doors are not latching correctly. The fix it oto refresh some software and, if necessary, replace the keyless entry module.

The document creates some sense of urgency but I haven't had the slightest hint of a problem so it can wait until the car goes in for its first service. Mark

Some folks have had the doors opening when they should stay closed - i.e. with a passenger leaning on one in a bend.

Bet that changes your view of what is "urgent" or not pretty quickly. Shocked MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Mark,

I received the recall letter in July. I have just not had the chance to take my car in and I thought that if it was a major problem, somebody would have posted about it here. I think I will just get it done when it goes in for its annual service at the end of the year.

Yes, good thought, they will need both keys if they replace the keyless entry module. Mark

I am overseas at the moment so not sure if I have a letter or not, but I have had an issue with rear doors not latching on 3 or 4 occasions, but its not a software issue.
Its only happened on the passenger side rear door, my 8 year old son has got himself in the car, when I noticed the door was not latched I asked him to open it and re close it, no joy, ok open it and slam it shut, it bounced open agian, when I get out to shut it I find that the door handle is jammed in the pulled open position.
Fortunately it has been noticed at low speeds, as the door is able to swing freely with my kids in the back.
Hopefully the recall will get is sorted as it is currently on the list of faults the car been returned for (twice) and not resolved
