Why, oh why, did Land Rover change the shifter. PRND has worked for years. I kep finding myself when parking, shoving the lever forward into "park" and finding myself backing up when I let off the brake.By the same token, it is unnatuaral to push the lever forward when in park to reverse I will eventually get used to it, then have a hard time driving any thing else with the conventional shift pattern. WHY DID THEY FIX SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT BROKEN?

I love the shifter, it took me about 12 seconds to get used to it.

I find new things every day, for example it always bothered me if I was in traffic with the EPB on and the engine kept running, then discovered if you just nudge the lever forward into N (with the EPB on) then the engine shuts off

Its intuitive once you understand it, the worst one I have seen is my Boss's Bentley Mulsanne, each time he wants to go from P to D he needs to shift, its not one movement like it is on ours! 2014.5 Mariana Black 5.0 Supercharged V8 Autobiography
