I changed the rear brake discs ok on my 2010 Range Rover sport... I now need to do the front ones. They should be easier than the rear as there is no complication of the electric handbrake.. Am I right? nice and simple or any surprises.

The (original) RRS is the same as a Discovery underneath.

There are different brakes on the 3.0 vs the 2.7 as in the guide, but on the whole, the basics are the same. Obviously, a bit different again if you have Brembos, of course (I'm assuming you don't).

It doesn't cover front brembos, but is being updated soon, so if you (or anyone else) can take some brembo pics, I'll add it to the bible for future use by others.

Brembos are a lot easier to do than regular sliding caliper setups.

Brembos are a doddle

There are 2 pins which are you need to knock out (I would suggest getting a centre-punch or a decent 3 inch nail). Do that by tapping them lightly on the side facing you with the tool of choice, then pulling out the other side with a pair of pliers. That releases the little spring plate that keeps the pads aligned. You can then use the pliers to pull out the pads.

If changing the pads, then I use the pads end on to push the calipers back (undo reservoir top first).

Reverse the process when putting back in. Pins just "clip" in when tapped from the other side and should be flush with the caliper when done. If done correctly, they'll never come out but it doesn't look like it.
