Dealers and pre-existing faults...

If fault found prior to sale - they fix at their cost.

If fault found after sale by new owner warranty company pays them to fix it - so how hard do you think they look !!!

I have the LR Warranty to the value of the car which was £25850. But I don't want a warranty claim on this issue, Colliers should/will pay.

Meh, I just hope shukers put it right.

I called Colliers yesterday to ask for a price on a compressor for my suspension, the lady on the phone was very helpful and so was the parts guy. Unfortunately the service guy that called me back was an ignorant , i asked for a price for fitting a new compressor. He said £400 + VAT and when i asked how come there fitting was 4 times the price of another LR dealer, he said again £400+VAT then hmg up the phone. Now thats my second bad experience with Colliers Birmingham and there will not be a third one . The guy at Listers Land Rover in Solihull was extremely helpful. Current 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE with the usual toys: timed climate, Rosen headrest screens, tow bar with twin electrics, Blackvue HD cam

I haven't had a bad experience yet, an if the compressor on my car is sorted then I see no reason to be worried. As pointed out in another thread I will not find another 2011 1 owner full main dealer history HSE RRS for £25850 an 70k on it an 2 years manufacturer warranty and 2 LR assistance and MOT warranty an the same spec as mine anywhere. So I would rather keep what I have,

So if any issues are sorted in a timely manor I'm happy. I've only really dealt with the Colliers sales team, so takeaway the £7million show room they're used car salesmen (not a bad thing). They seem nice enough guys although they did embarrass themselves a little bit with the "I have a guy on the phone wants to put a deposit on this car" and "there was a woman looking at this yesterday really interested an she's coming back later"

But for the price I was always having it .

Well car went yesterday and was returned today, must say I cannot fault the service from Shukers, LR assistance and the LR approved warranty.

It went something like this- fault reported, Land Rover assistance out within 40 minutes, fault found booked into Shukers LR Shrewsbury, Brandnew 2015 LR Discovery given as courtesy for free. Car dropped of yesterday , picked up today. If it's alway this easy I'm going to be hoping for fault lights, maybe get a RRS-2 courtesy next time.

All I can say is,

Land Rover Assistance, 10/10 fantastic service,
Land Rover Approved Warranty, 10/10 car repaird no issues.
Shukers Land Rover Shrewsbury, 10/10 polite very helpful staff, all calls returned, kept up to date, repairs carried out car returned washed and cleaned.

Colliers Land rover................................3 phonecalls not returned, 3 emails not replied to, lady in service department advised I would be better off ringing Land Rover Assistance.


If you're buying a used Land Rover product its up to you where you purchase it from, but I'm just stating how things went for me. An I know for a FACT colliers have seen this post Also worth mentioning Land Rover warranty were concerned this car was sold with the fault. The warranty states they will not cover faults present before the warranty starts. Shukers basically told me not to worry about it and gave me the car back even though LR Warranty had not approved payment. They did approve payment,

We ARE buying a RRS-2, we ARE buying it from Shukers, but not for at least 5 months.
