CD player steering wheel controls sometimes swapping around

I have a 2005 RRS and the steering wheel controls sometimes swap and volume changes track or swaps mode and track change does the volume can anyone help with ideas? Cheers in advanced Very Happy

Yer I sometimes turn it off and it corrects it but would like to stop it doing it really

New Zealand 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red

it's the wiring loom behind the wheel. They get worn and cause buttons to do the wrong thing etc. Apparently you can remove them and solder them back up as a budget fix. I remember seeing a how-to somewhere, but can't find the darn thing right now!

Basically, pull the battery, unclip the airbag, remove the wheel, fix the loom and reverse the procedure. I'll keep searching... Every home should have one!

nope. There are two holes on the backside of the wheel - you stick an L shaped bit of wire in there and that unclips the airbag. Remove the wheel (that's the bit I can't remember how) and then remove the loom etc.

Here is the youtube video on removing the wheel....  Every home should have one!
