I have stupidly bought cheap sunitracs for the front and they are crap! No rim protection and lack of grip when cornering, especially roundabouts!

A massive massive improvement from the ditch finders that were on when i bought the car with 20's. Generally very good in the corners unless you are really pushing on. Only thing i have found is that aquaplaning is still not as good as i would hope for. Might look to get something like uniroyal rainsports next which are in the same price bracket as the hankooks and Toyos.

Can anyone advise recommended tyre pressures for Toyo 285 35 R22 when fitted to my RR?

Best tyres I ever used on my Range Rover vouge , had about 4 sets in all . Just ordered some more to go on new wheels on the new car . Those 305/40/22 will give great rim protection .

The advantage of the 114's is the extra strength in the sidewall which also increases road holding. They don't nip on rough stone tracks and still clear mud / snot very quickly. Ok, so you wouldn't go mud plugging in them - having said that I've been above the wheel centre in sloppy mud during an excursion (accident forced road closure but animal movements meant I had to find a way around - up to the axles in slop with a 3.5te triple axle cattle trailer in tow
