After market side steps.BEWARE!!!!

After buying some of these after market side steps the short screws that hold the metal trim on have corroded and they just spring off. Luckily I caught them before they disappeared all together, so now I have had to have them re-drilled and bolted front and back , they have been on the car for approx 18 month. So anybody out there thinking about getting some of these it might pay to have extra bolts put in before they go on the car Thumbs Up

Is this the nuts and bolts that hold the side steps on to the three mounting brackets? Current - 2020 Range Rover Sport P400e
Gone - 2014 Range Rover Sport HSE SDV6
Gone - 2017 Audi A8 Sport
Gone - 2007 Range Rover Sport HSE TDV8 - Great car.

No it is the bolts that hold the trim on the edge of the side step

This also happens to originals. The rivetts corrode and they fall off.

Happened to mine as well, I did the same thing and re-drilled them and added new bolts. I have range rovers own ones, but mine are very old now.
