Supercharged 4.2 spark plugs change - how ?

Ok, so what's the special tool here (other than me), I have a comprehensive set of sockets, etc... but nothing will fit in the tight space around the engine to get to the plugs. Is there a trick ?

I realise the heatshields need to come off to make it easier, but I've failed with the one nearest the front on passenger side where there is the most space.
