Insurance confusion - whats your model? BHP confusion..

My car will be a 15 reg registered on 1st March. I rang my insurer and they were unaure of which model RRS HSE my car was as there were non that matched my cars BHP figures. They told me to arrange my insurance through Range Rover for free 7 days insurance as that way once registered my cars details would be on the insurers database so they could easily identify my car and transfer my cover accross from
Old car to new.

So I did that today but when my docs came from Land Rover Insurance my model is listed as:

RANGE ROVER SPORT HSE SDV6 (255)

Im guessing 255 means 255 BHP!? This is incorrect as on the RR website my cars output is 306 BHP...

The insurers say this car 306 BHP is not on the database! Not sure what to do any ideas?

Edit: I have just had a look myself by trying to take out a new policy quote online with direct line and lo and behold the only RRS 3.0 HSE 2014 onwards is "SPORT 3.0D (13ON) HSE 288 AU 2993cc 5DR"
This is incorrect!?

The bhp has just been increased to 306 on the latest spec sdv6 2016 bmw x5 40d m-sport space grey
2015 bmw 335i m-sport touring mineral grey/coral interior looking to change again .
Gone HSE SDV6 Dynamic indus silver, santorini contrast roof,panoramic roof,red brakes,privacy,climate front seats,tow bar great car enjoyed it ����
Gone my10 3.0 tdv6 Bali blue/ivory 5 years 24k no problems great car will be missed

Yes thats correct but this higher BHP car is not listed on any insurance database! Just tried Admiral online too and there is no 306 BHP option at all - really strange!

2022 HSE Dynamic P400e

2017 Discovery 3.0 HSE Silicon Silver Nimbus interior and a few extra toys SOLD

2013 HSE Black, Orkney Grey, Ebony Seats and Ivory Interior SOLD

2006 HSE

Plus a few other cars inbetween!

Yes jimbg thats correct the only version showing is 288BHP which is not right for 2015 cars

I had the same problem with my HSE Black when I bought it, the only model showing was the previous year's HSE Red. 2026 P460e Autobiography on order

2022 HSE Dynamic P400e

The TDV6 was/is 245 bhp. SDV6's were 255bhp until now it seems.

So you've got the MY15.5 where the emissions is down to 185 from the MY15 at 199 which means tax is cheaper also?

The tax did drop when I switched my order from a 15 to 15.5 model year.
