United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

Blah blah blah. As governments are controlled by raising revenue, it was obvious that tax would be added. In 2001 diesel was 10p a litre cheaper than petrol, now it's the other way round. In 2001, the government also said to tow certain trailers you had to have 4x4's. Three years later they started slapping huge road fund rises on 4x4 drivers
And the government wonder why they only get 40-50% turn out at elections?

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Thank your lucky stars we don't still have a certain eye-deficient PM from North of the border. The price of fuel round here has dropped 17%; I would bet my last cent old jerky jaw have put the tax up by an equivalent amount and spent it all on windmills.

It's the hypocrisy that got me... "We're introducing a green tax on fuel to stop people using it and based on current consumption that will raise £83m"

'Based on current consumption'? !!!

So you are so stupid you are even admitting on air that you don't expect the tax to reduce consumption; so how is that a green tax? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Well, here they have been pushing for people to buy car burning less fuel using various tax and other pressure means.

Well, people did that.

Now, a couple of month ago a politician came on record saying that as car are burning less fuel, the tax revenue is lower, so they are considering an increase in taxation...... '08 RRS TDV8
