I think that there might be a few knock on moister related issues regarding this in the near future.

One thing is for sure, I - and others - have letters from JLR clearly stating that this is a 'design intent'. Can you imagin the fall out if and when Clarkson and the press in General get hold of that!!

Let's put it this way, andman; I've 'intentionally' burgled your house but I intend to replace everything. So even though it was my 'intention' to steal your stuff, I'm still going to replace it. Yes, they have well and truly contradicted themselves by saying that it's a design intent........which they intend to correct. At some point. Maybe. See how potentionally damaging things get for us first. If they haven't already.

Hey Nedaruss, I have a June delivered vehicle, built April 15, which has the dreaded gap so either you have an exception or you're looking in the wrong place. Have flagged problem with dealer and with LRNZ (general manager rang me personally and is investigating and getting back to me). Will keep you all informed of outcome SDV6 (14.5) Corris Grey NZ Spec + door mouldings, mud flaps and tow bar
Also Audi A1 Sport + - (wife's rocket) and 1985 BMW 628 CSI

Just to clarify....

The gap is underneath the bottom rubber trim of the boot where it meets the bumper....

If someone doesn't have the gap..... it really is quite worrying about the massive tolerances that LR would deem as acceptable ...

Ellie, the dog on the left, is missing 2 nails as she trapped them earlier in the year in the spring loaded catch in the middle of the photo. So, now I stand in the middle and lift her out avoiding the large recess under the catch.
