Spanish Speeding ticket

Several weeks ago my daughter and family hired a car in Spain and picked up a speeding ticket. 50 euro fine if paid within 10 days and 100 euro thereafter.

The hire company has only just forwarded the documents so its already the 100 euro fine.

The problem is the whole document is in Spanish, (which none of us can translate) and there's no information on how to pay and there is no on-line facility.

Any ideas or anyone experienced this before and can advise?

I thought you could just ignore them, no points can be issued, unless it's changed recently

Keep an eye on your credit card account, the hire car company might have taken it already. If they have get the document translated to try to determine authenticity.

Hope its not another Spanish Hire car scam!

i was charged via the hire company few years back, i.e they paid the authorities then they charged me, plus their administration fees. so yes, check your card statement. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

Spain

Maybe your Bank could help, try a branch of Santander, I know (from experience) that you take your speeding ticket into the Bank in Spain and just pay your money.

The hire car company will probably take the 50eur fine plus a handling charge from your card as previously mentioned. 2013 RRS SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White
2007 RRS TDV8 HSE - gone -
2005 RRS TDV6 HSE - gone -

Wales 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

Spanish traffic fines go with the car and not the person/driver, so the hire company would already have paid this, then expect the amount from you, it'll be in their small print  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

Prefer RR Vouge S/C but they don't do Orange !
