Wales 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange
roof rack/rails - what do I need?

I've never fitted a roof rack to any car previously, and so getting a little confused over what to buy for my RRS MY05

roof bars
roof rails
roof racks etc etc

looked on ebay and websites, and just not sure what I need to get, which is best and which is cheapest.

Need to transport an 8x4 table top, so needs to be strong too . . . . . any recommendations ? ebay/website links, or does anyone have one for sale ?  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

Prefer RR Vouge S/C but they don't do Orange !

Being a ex windsurfer, and carrying expensive kit on top of whatever vehicle I owned at the time. I can highly recommend Thule kit.
Not cheap, but about the best there is................ IMHO.

thanks. They fit onto the roof guttering ? What about utilising the slots already built into the roof?  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

I'm not sure about your car. Mine has roof rails already fitted, so the Thule kit I'd need would be different to yours if you haven't got the rails.

Give them a ring. I'm sure they would be happy to help you out.

You would need the roof rails and the cross bars.

I looked at thule that bolted to existing fixing points but spaces were wrong for my roofbox.

I bought powerful uk rails and bars cheap but they were rubbish and got refund.

Now fitted genuine set and very happy with quality although not cheap.

Just done 200 mile at 70 loaded up and not a hiccup Cool
