I don't think it is possible tbh. Do you find it too hard? You could fit L/R's recommended size 19" wheel and tyre package, which gives you a bigger sidewall in the tyre. This with be a softer ride. |

No iit's not the 22"s altho obviously it is a slightly harder ride, I was told it's possible so thought I'd ask? If you've got it, spend it! |

got to be honest I find our MY12 rides beautifully on the standard 20"s... that being said my car is running 295/35/20 so by comparison the RRS may as well be a Rolls!! |

I'm on factory 20"s, and I noticed a significant improvement in ride quality when I swapped the Conti's for Pirelli Scorpians. Unfortunately that also came with a corresponding drop in handling - it felt more like a go-kart on Conti's, whilst Pirellis feel more more twitchy near the limit. Having come from an E Class AMG to an RRS 2012 I have always had issues with the ride, changing to 22's hasn't changed that, I test drove the new RR recently and that was really refined and possibly just a case that it was more my style, that said if a Bentley Continental GT can waft along beautifully on 22's with air suspension why can't my RRS, hence my original question and so was worth exploring, clearly the answer is no so thank you for that info |

Your RRS was designed to run on wheels no greater than 20 in diameter with a sidewall depth chosen to give a good compromise between ride, handling and off road ability. If you then run it on 22in wheels with shorter sidewalls that are designed for road only use you shouldn't blame the RRS.

Thats an important point you make RRSTDV8, I only asked the question regarding the air suspension and the ability to soften the ride, then the mention of 22's hijacked this thread and has become a distraction, since purchasing my RRS from new 2 years ago I always thought the ride was a little harsh, I think that is due to points you have stated and others, like short wheel base etc etc etc.

I know this isn't a thread about 20" v 22" wheels but I have just taken 22" wheels off my MY14 ex demo and replaced with 20" wheels and Pirelli Scorpion Verde tyres.
