You need a GVIF unit to make the screen read the signal to enable it to work as a tv - monitor. It can be a DIY job but not for me    | ||

Started with the iPad mini but ended up swapping it for a 8.0 samsung tab 3. Android offers a lot more over ios and it's useful connecting to the odb port for fault finding error codes (hopefully not too often) as well as running applications like torque.
