Your opinion about this one...

Hello,

I just tested a RRS V8SC from 2010, 88'000 km. It has some additional options like:
* HarmanKardon
* "enriched leather" (??)
* keyless
* AAC speed control

I tested the self-levelling system, up and down.
Are the micro-holes in the seat leather for cooling purposes?

I am new to the RR world, so I would welcome any advise or remark regarding this particular car: here are some pictures I took this morning while testing it (which was an amazing experience by itself!), thanks!

Welcome Spooky Bow down

The leather is perforated for breathability but does not have cooling - the Full Fat Range Rover Vogue SE had cooling seats.

The self levelling suspension works when you load the car or attach a caravan/trailer - the settings you tried are height only - access, normal and off road.

The colour I like but not everyone does so they tend to be fewer about.

The alloys are unfamiliar to me - never seen them on a sport Confused

Look for full service history and consider a warranty - they are expensive when they go wrong Sad

Thanks for your answer. Ok for the self-levelling, well the height control seemed to work fine, maybe I should have left it in top position to see if there is a leak?
I have a 12 months warranty. These are the winter wheels. I checked the service history and found one service every year since it was purchased in 2010.
For the colour, I find it quite cool too, but honestly my main requirement was: light interior color, not black outside (yes it looks nice, but too much work to keep it clean), add this to the fact I want a V8 SC, post 2010 lifting, and it's quite hard to find one....

I have previously looked for a RRS in this colour and they were very hard to find Thumbs Up

Agree MY10 onwards are the ones to look for - am on my second Cool

Have a good look underneath for signs of off road damage - most have never been off road but best to check Wink

Are you buying from LR dealer with genuine warranty or independant Question Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

It's not a LR garage, it's a BMW garage but they have a bunch of other used cars (even saw a Viper...).... and this in Switzerland Wink

Those wheels don't look genuine - unless there is a specific market difference Mike

Agree Mike - look a bit like BMW X5 alloys maybe Confused

Non LR alloys may invalidate warranty here from what I have read - look at the warranty closely to see how good it is Spooky - not sure of Swiss set up but here I would only use a LR warranty so I could get LR customer service backing with it Thumbs Up Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Thanks for the advice I will ask for it, and look in particular what is covered but more importantly what is not (learned that lesson from my last car purchase which had a "quality 1" warranty).

I was also wondering:
1. If there are some differences in the interior between 2010, 2011, 2012 versions (I just saw a "zermatt edition" were the mode selector know looked very different)
2. If there are any additional options to this particular car that I would miss (for instance is there a confort/sport suspension mode?)

Lots of things changed inside between 10, 11, 12 and 13

So things like flappy paddles were only made standard on the 12, option before then. Fridge and TV was made standard on the 11, the boot became electric on the 12 and the infotainment got an upgrade, adding ipod option by default
the 13 saw a further infotainment upgrade, some new tyres etc

Colours will have changed - that's all I can remember Mike
