Your assumption is that you did not want any of the items from the list, so in that case ignore the offer and pay full price for the fuel.

On the other hand if you intended to buy two items from the list you gain regardless of the number of litres bought up to 100 litres. The gain being proportional to the number of litres bought obviously.

You are correct on the fact I would eat/drink anything from that list no matter if it was given.

If you do eat from that list and already buy your fuel from shell, I think it's a good deal but I'm not sure it would attract new business.

Do you not also think that the marketing is to fool people into buying the items to save the 5p per litre? People will do that without even working out the cost savings? In reality a 5p per litre saving sounds like it will save you a good amount but really it's not much. Good marketing will make people buy things they don't really want if they think they are getting a good deal. Supermarkets are a good example of this!

Anyway peachy enjoy your free drinks I'm sure you will have plenty of free ones with your sport.

Don't forget, you will also get points on your shell card And thats without buying anything from the shop.

Really depends if you want the sweets in the first place?

i got two bottles of lucazade £1.79 each and with the discount they cost a extra 25p on top of the fuel

some would argue that you lose, because you're just getting fatter with all of that sugar ! I don't eat or drink anything on that list

looking at the list i'm shocked that water isn't included...isn't water better for you on the longer journeys ?

isn't is better to shop at sainsburys? they use shell, don't they? i would rather take advantage of the supermarket 5ppl voucher. That way, you can buy EVERYTHING from that list cheaper in store, whilst also doing your regular shopping, saving even more money  Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
