Oh thats great news Peachy. That means I can rep the color matched ones incase the next owner would prefer them.

Thanks very much.

Since I've asked him to swap the wheel over he needs a little extra time and Mrs Nutt and I aren't free until Saturday.

You wouldn't happen to know what the smallest size wheels are that will fit over the Brembos are would you? I actually intend to do a little green laning with this motor

Listen for the rear air compressor noises at start up... Some say that means its on its way out...

Look at the front radiator - i had mine replaced since i couldn't cool the car.

Check for a whooshing noise in line with engine revs. Happens at startup but should stop. Starts again when the engine is hot (mostly in high ambient temperatures). Its the viscous fan that fails. Sometimes they are wired wrong, or the wiring pops out. I did all that but replaced the fan in the end.

Battery needs to be in good condition or you get ghost HDC and suspension faults; especially in low ambient temperatures.

Check that the car is level after parking. Sometimes a sensor goes and they lean over a bit.

Sometimes the car chirps. Its a belt thing. there was a TSB for it. Try and check that was done.

The dreaded knocking noise. Front Anti roll bars are a consumable in that car. When they are gone, they front knocks. Mine doesn't becuase I change the ARBs every year.

Great cars by the way.

I have a 55 Supercharged from 2006.... (which is going to auction next week)... But she is well maintained so I know what to look for... 2022 P440e AB

Oh yeah - the front electric screen can fail too...
- only way to be sure is to see it defrost from frozen. You can meausre current drain (but i've no idea how to do that).

AND the air blower switch should work from ignition on. The belief that the car waits till it is warm enough is not true. That fault requires a new final stage resistor. Which is cheap. 2022 P440e AB

Lots of dealers by them for stock there...
- then - buy the warranty (from warranty direct)....

Same in many cases, as going to a dealer... Same car, different price.

Check this out....
http://www.british-car-auctions.co.uk/BCA-Showroom/

They do through pre-sale inspections and seem to be very honest about problems etc.

I just cannot face folk coming round my house tire kicking... Sure it will cost me a few hundred quid... But the hassle of a private sale is not for me. 2022 P440e AB

So the BRC kit and on RRS petrol not worrying you too much peachy? The kit cost £2750 originally and has been serviced regularly with the car including 3k miles ago...

Picks in the linky. Just a lovely car. So comfortable and relaxing. The adaptive cruise is brilliant

and, my god that engineactually sounds like a proper V8 Smile

The cars just a standard TDV8 HSE but it's in brilliant nick. There's hardly a scratch or a scuff anywhere.

We're very pleased. Thanks everyone for the help
