Also you do understand that you will cause more damage to the vehicle if you fit the screws, the thief will still try stealing them, they might even bend the tailgate to create a bigger opening.

I'm was parked in a shopping centre car park at weekend and there were two 2010 sports together so said to the wife, shall I show you how to make £700 in a few mins. So I doubt I thief would just walk away...

Daz, i see where you are coming from, but prevention is better than a cure. Just look at the spait of alloy wheels that went missing when they were first fitted to cars, because they didn't have locking wheel nuts. How often do you hear of wheels being stolen these days Make it harder for them to steal something and 9/10 they will move on to the next vehicle without security screws. One day it could be yours.
