Silly question but where can I find the vin number on my RRS.

I have checked the doors and the windscreen but cannot find it  2009 RRS TDV6 2.7 HSE Santorini Black

Welcome Steve, I am sure they are all in the bottom corner of the windscreen in the black area MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

problem begins when v5 is not in glovebox


you can find it as well on VIN plate under the bonnet

Also stamped on the RH chassis member under the front door.

Bottom right hand corner of the front screen (standing at the front of the car)
Drivers side chassis rail, behind the outrigger (RHD car)
Sticker on the front slam panel
Or, if all else fails, the chassis number can be interrogated using appropriate diagnostic kit

When you read MY10 etc it refers to model year 2010. This is simply because some vehicles are a different model year to registered year (i.e a late 55 reg car could be a 06 my or and old stock 06 reg car could be a 05 my)

Your chassis number will start SALL and the 10th digit is the year code. The first 11 digits are build details about your car(original market,body type,engine type etc) and the last 6 digits are random and unique to your car

For example my chassis number starts SALLSAA238A****** Which means mine is a 08MY

So......the 10th digit of my VIN number is 'D' , is that MY13.

Would make sense assuming it goes like this
8 = 08
9 = 09
A = 10
B = 11
C = 12
D = 13 ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
MERCEDES GL350 - Metallic Navy Blue w/Grey interior

GOING: BMW F31 335D MSport+ xDrive Touring
GONE: Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE - Stornaway Grey w/Black Interior (wish we'd kept it )
