Windscreen replaced yesterday with a brand new genuine LR one. The A post covers were also replaced. I must say though, Autoglass were great, totally hassle free and only a 2 hour wait at one of their local depots.

Interestingly tho, when I contacted my local dealer, they stressed that the new windscreen should be a genuine one. Funny thing is that we bought the car a year old from LR (having been one of their cars) and it had a non genuine windscreen fitted!

I found Autoglass to be very good when they came to my home and my workplace on the two occasions I needed a new screen.

As for LR's stance - it seems to be a case of "do what I say, not what I do"  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

They have no option but to replace with genuine L/R supplied glass to co-inside with L/R warranty. Don't forget to get them to replace the A pillar trims too.
