Shame as they are basically the same cars.

This is a bit confusing. Are you saying that because others view a vehilce in a certain way you won't purchase it even if you want it? Shocked

I also like them in white but don't you think because the white doesn't follow up to the roof from the body, it makes it look really long?

I've seen colour coded posts but then it still looks weird.

Australia 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Ipanema Sand

SWMBO is running round in 2013 HSE Luxury black in ipanama sand. It has 4000kms on it. With ivory seats/ebony trim. And is loving it. I suspect that this one will be kept for a while. Can't afford a 2014 the price jump to get same specs is significant. So it is a new "old" shape for us. SWMBO owns this car I get to drive occasionally Smile

Porsche anyone

New Porsche Macan 4x4 out next month starting at 32k, this is very tempting against new RRS pricing. The top of the range turbo will be around 45k ish, and fully loaded with toys.
I know its down to individual taste and some Porsche models (Cayenne) are not to everyone's liking, but these prices cannot be ignored if the press releases are true.
I hope this thread does not offend. Thumbs Up Current Volvo XC90 R Design T8

Hi Mike,

Apologies..... I'm told that I missed you by a matter of minutes as I was at our Jaguar branch first thing.

Thanks very much for the Sport, we'll find a good new home for it.

You blokes are not giving me any signs that getting the last of the old shape is a good idea? I am beginning to think that you all think that it's not so smart.....maybe I should look at one that is not Havana? There are lots of white ones but although its a great colour down here, I am not mad on white in the RRS. Not sure which way to go....

I bought a Black Edition because I choked when I saw the prices of the MY14 and had a few issues with last MY10. I did a similar thing when D3 came out and bought a D2 Metropolis - when it came time to change I had loads of interest because of the equipment and LR fans preferring the old model so hope same this time Bow down

This was supposed to be a fresh start for me but not gone well - mix up on order and dealer damage meant I had to fight for a replacement. Current one has been back for faulty sub woofer and front sensor issue when towing. Now informed the front sensors not meant to work when towing despite working from 2005 to 2011 and from 2014. I have now discovered the lumbar support deflates between uses so looks like another trip to dealer with the worry of damage in workshop again Banging Head

The Black Edition is the most luxurious LR I have ever owned and when I drive it without a problem I love it but unlikely to buy another LR as I have better things to do than run back and forward to dealer and chase LRCS for resolution of problems Sad

I may try James/Jeremy@HG for a D4/5 or FL3 based on recommendations on here if I see signs reliability and customer service is improving but I will still have problems with local dealer support and unwilling to spend the money I have been the last few years for more hassle and disappointment. I had 6 great LR's and backup but the last 2 vehicles/3 years have been hell Big Cry Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Thanks Muddy. I don't miss trips to the stealer and now I am too busy to mess with unreliable cars.
I am happy with my X5 40d for now. It is fast, reliable, servicing is free for another 2+ years and I have bags of warranty left, silly idea to change. But the RRS is attractive (old shape) and like you when I had a good one, it was great. But it had to go as I found myself possibly between jobs, which never actually happened, that's why it went.

I need something to tow my boat (19') and the X does well. I might wait and get an X6 M50d in a year or two, they are quick and I feel the need for speed coming ...at my age, really! Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6
