2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Sumatra Black

Intercooler Query

should the airbox side intercooler hose be completely dry or has anybody ever noticed a slight collection of oily substance on lower side (only noticeable if you are changing the hose)

Mine has an oily type film on the lower external surface. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

There will always be a film of oil on the inside of a modern turbo diesel intake system. If the hose clips are not tight enough, occasionally they will leak

the sump ventilation is going into the air intake before the turbo so yes it is normal.
