They stay active until u get above a cettain speed after puttin it back into drive, normal operation... I belive u can turn this off from memory, im sure iv seen this on the SDD lists, |

As above, they stay on until you get above a certain speed. Theres a button on the centre of the dash that you can switch them off with. Its near the lock/unlock buttons above stereo display. 2007 TDV6 HSE |

there is a fuse you can pull to disable the sensors, in the fuse box behind the glove compartment.

My sensors have started coming on when driving in traffic- is this normal? |

I believe that in earlier cars like yours, the sensors would become active automatically below a certain speed(10Km/h?).
