Scotland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Rimini Red

Land rover just quoted me £700 plus vat to replace both valves, so i phoned a friend who can get the valves for £120 each and reckons 1 hour to fit. 2007 RRS V6 2.7 SE
2006 Tiger Cat E1
2007 Vectra Sad

i got a rrs 2006 and apparently the EGR Valve needs replacing loosing power judgery and black smoke out rear

Just blank them if pre 2007 done mine when i got car.... got kit of ebay like £30
All they are for is to pass emission tests... and who gives a F about that... never had issue with my car since blanking and removes some clutter from engine bay!
Mine still throws fault when hooked up to computer... all they say is.. got ya valves blanked?... Yes.... Ok then lol!!
It does no harm, nice how these silly smoke tests cost ud crap loads in parts espically for a simple part

Give Pete a ring as BAS remaps, he now offers a software download to be able to blank 08 onwards cars without the warning lights Thumbs Up . Did my 08MY d3

...and get the BAS blanking kit rather than something from fleabay. Much better for your car, as it involves whipping out the butterfly valve, which you really ought to do.

I did mine in an hour Thumbs Up 2006 TDV6 SE, Zermatt Silver

i have just had both mine replaced, £170 each plus vat and four hours total labour to fit both , total bill just shy of £650 and that was an indy. I got a quote of £762 inc from local dealer .

I think there is plenty of confusion here between TDV6 & TDV8.

TDV6 EGR replacement/Blanking is cheap and easy

TDV8 EGR replacement is labour intensive and not cheap at all due to be being hidden away behind lots of parts.
