Engine smoke

Hi I have a tdv8.

Which smokes on hard acceleration. It also smokes on mild acceleration.
If you let the throttle off and reapply cloud of black smoke appears.

Is this something to worry about.

Any ideas? Tdv8 range rover sport

TDV8s will puff more soot if mapped... do you know if yours is?

If you're experiencing lower performance too, then check the two intercooler pipes that run from the top of the intercooler to the manifold (right at the front of the engine on top of the rad) RRS gone

Spain

My TDV6 2.7 smokes a fair bit when booted hard, kick down etc, it is a little worse with the remap, I think it will be a LOT better once we are able to blank the EGR valves though. Thumbs Up In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Hi my car is not mapped.

The smoke has got worse over the last couple of weeks, silly question nothing to do with the hot weather?

Reading through the forum, says about EGR valves how do you know if these are knacked?

I will look at the intercooler pipes, Tdv8 range rover sport
