Fitting Rear Tread Plate

Sorry if this has been covered, I've just ordered the rear tread plate and the LR instructions seem to indicate that you remove the plastic one before fitting this ? Has anyone fitted the genuine one ? Seller indicated it fitted over the plastic one and quotes its genuine article LR007321.

considering it takes 1 nano second to remove the plastic one have you just removed it?

The new one will have lugs underneath that slot into the holes left by the plastic one...im just thinking how best to describe it to you.

Im reasonably confident you have to remove the plastic to fit the new (chrome?) one Mike

If you can see the underside of the new one then it might give the answer...but im sure you remove the old plastic one. Mike
