Hi, I have just had a look under the bonnet of the new RRS and found what I have been told is a Webasto diesel heater. Has anyone got any knowledge or experience of these as I don't have a clue. Does it work with a remote? I don't have the remote if it does? Value? Use? Any info would be great.

That heater assists in bringing the engine temperature up quickly in cold weather. It burns diesel for power. As standard, you can't turn it on when you want. It automatically starts working when the car is started while the external temperature is less than 5 deg C and shuts down when the engine reaches the optimum temperature.

I have the danhag system fitted to my D3 and start my FBH with my iphone, I use it all the time not just in winter to remove the ice from the windscreen, but use it now to warm the engine .
