Well, garage has called to say its definitely the ARB leaking and needs replacing. Gonna cost £1550 supplied and fitted . There is some slight good news though, they gave the car the once over and everything else is ok, although slightly concerning when they said it looks like its been replaced before

Have had the car just over 7 weeks now, warranty from garage is crap so not even gonna bother.

On a side note, I purchased a warranty from Warranty Direct(top one they do) and asked several times if it covers suspension. Called them up and surprise surprise, apparently they never actually said it does cover suspension. They listened to call after I complained and said they heard me mention suspension but guy never actually said it covers this, he just said warranty covers everything Land Rovers does, which covers suspension!!! Have read through Warranty and it does mention suspension but if you look really close, it says up to a certain age and surprise surprise again, mine is outside that age. So I'm going to be £1550 out of pocket for part, £750 out of pocket for a warranty that doesn't help.

Question is, is it worth getting back on to the garage? They are an independent that sell alsorts and if I'm honest, seemed like a production line when I got there but car was what I was after, mileage, history etc. I have a feeling they will just say its not their problem. They Mot'd the car for me though, even though it had only been done 3 months previous.

Doesn't the minimum three months warranty you get with any car from a dealer cover all parts and labour??? If so, then its down to the garage you bought it off to repair the faults at their cost.

I'm not sure Ady. To be honest I seen the limit was £500 per claim and tossed it to one side without really reading it, then bought my own for supposed "piece of mind". Will dig it out and have a read.

Called garage and guy seemed a bit sympathetic. He's gone to speak to Director and prep guys. I explained the problem has been here 2-3 weeks but had to wait for car to be seen. Also explained they "apparently" checked the car over and Mot'd it and I've only had it about 7 weeks, so the problem came after about a month of having it.

He didn't fob me off straight away so fingers crossed that's a good sign. I think it's only fair they take some sort of responsibility, this leak has been here since I've had it I reckon.

Edit: Result! Garage will replace it. They are sorting out getting car to them etc as I'm in Newcastle and they're in Derby. Good to know there are still decent garages out there. 2007 TDV6 HSE
